Barbecue Steak and Blueberry Sauce Ingredients
2 1/2 cups of blueberries. Fresh if you can get them, frozen will do.
1 small onion, finely chopped.
1/4 cup molasses.
1/4 cup of ketchup.
1/4 cup of white wine vinegar.
1/2 teaspoon of ground red pepper.
3 tablespoons of prepared mustard.
4 T-bone steaks, 6 to 8 ounces each.
Barbecue Steak and Blueberry Sauce Directions
Combine blueberries, onion, molasses, ketchup, vinegar, red pepper and mustard in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat, stir often and simmer for 15 minutes.
Allow the sauce to cool for 10 minutes.
Process mixture in a blender until smooth.
Keep the sauce warm while you barbecue the steaks.
Barbecue steaks as you would normally until cooked to your liking.
Serve the steaks and pour on the blueberry sauce.
