Barbecue salmon at its best! This fantastic BBQ salmon steak recipe is a healthy and delicious way to barbecue.
Barbecue Salmon Recipe Ingredients
1kg (or approximately 2+ ½ pounds) salmon fillets
2 lemons – 1 juiced and 1 very thinly sliced
1 cup white wine
3+ ½ tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons sea salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Barbecue Salmon Recipe Directions
Onto a large square of heavy-duty aluminium foil, put one salmon fillet.
In a small bowl, combine the wine, the juice of one of the lemons, sea salt & ground black pepper.
Mix well.
Drizzle an even portion of the lemon juice & white wine mixture onto the salmon fillet resting on the aluminium foil.
Divide the butter into the same number of salmon fillets, and put one portion of butter onto the fish.
Add a thin slice or two of lemon to the top of the fish.
Wrap the foil around the salmon fillet, making a parcel.
Repeat with each of the fillets.
On a medium heat barbeque/ grill, place each of the salmon fillet filled foil packages and cook for approximately 25 minutes.
Salmon is cooked when it lightens in colour and has become flakey when it is prised with a fork.
Serves: approximately 6 – or as many people as there are fillets.
