About Barbecue
The word barbecue or barbeque believed to have originated from the word barabicu that is part of the language of the Caribbean people, Taino.
Most etymologists now believe that the claim barbecue was derived from the french "barbe ŕ queue" to be false, and that is came about due to the similarity of the words.
